Arab Bankers Association announces date for 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner
Through economic highs and lows, financial innovation, changes in political parties, fashion and pop culture the ABA (as we fondly call it) has been there. The ABA was originally founded by a group of Arab bankers in London 31 March, 1980. The aim was to create a forum for Arab nationals who worked in finance. Over the years this lead to a wider network which encompassed Arabs globally working in finance, non Arabs with an interest in the middle east and the creation of our sister association - ABANA in New York.
Our thanks go to those active members of the ABA who have contributed to our association. It is through these members that we have been able to grow from strength to strength.
We would be amiss however not to mention some of the leaders who have provided the guidance to the ABA during its formative years including Adel Dajani, Ahmed Abdullatif, Antoine Zananiri , Fakhruddin Khalil , Mohammed Fezzani, Munir Haddad and Wael El-Mikdadi and many other active supporters of the ABA too numerous to list here.
In honor of this the Arab Bankers Association will be holding its 30th Anniversary Gala dinner on Saturday 5th June 2010 at the Hilton on Park Lane, London.
If you would like to find out more about this event and attend please contact Riem Abutaha - rabutaha@arab-bankers.co.uk
